Art Gillis has been working in the computer industry since 1958. In 1974 he established his consulting practice and has conducted 321 computer-related client projects for financial institutions in the U.S., Canada, Central America, Europe and the Middle East. He is listed by the American Banker as one of the top 25 computer consultants.
He has written 52 books and business reports, all relating to technology in banking. Trade journals have published 114 of his articles. He has posted 157 blogs in the past three years, all of which even a bank auditor could stamp as "reconciled." He has delivered 91 presentations to banking groups. He has conducted seminars at national banking association conferences and has conducted In-House Computer Seminars for the ICBA. He has also conducted computer seminars for non data processing executives sponsored by Harvard University. He is a faculty member of The Stonier Graduate School of Banking, the FFIEC and the OCC. He earned a BS degree in accounting from Boston University. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Certified Computer Professional (CCP) and holds a Certificate in Data Processing (CDP).
